Preparing students to live purposefully in the service of God and man, having a faith rooted in Jesus Christ.

The center of our mission is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that as the Son of God, Jesus’ perfect life, innocent death, victorious resurrection, and glorious ascension accomplished the complete atonement for our sins and provides us the opportunity to have new life as His sons and daughters through faith in Him. We believe this reality changes everything about our earthly and eternal lives, so everything we do at West Dallas Community School is rooted in that truth.

Morning Assembly

We start each morning with our entire student body in our chapel. Beginning with hymn of the month, we center our hearts and minds on God in worship. We pray together, recite the pledges, give announcements, and we invite students up to the stage on the week of their birthday to receive a birthday blessing.

Chapel

Chapel is the weekly worship service on Wednesday mornings, bringing the student body together in song, praise, and teaching. All faculty and students attend with their students, and we invite parents and families members to attend.

Bible Classes

After morning assembly each day, teachers lead their students in a Bible study. Working through various chapters and stories of the Bible, students become acquainted with biblical stories, principles, and the steadfast character of God.

I stand here proudly giving all thanks to the Lord, because without him I would be nothing. When I first came to WDCS, I didn’t realize how much this school would impact me beyond academics. Through chapel, I learned the importance of stopping in the middle of a busy week to focus on God. It became more than just a place we came to, but it became a moment to reflect, pray, and be reminded of His presence in our lives.
