Applications for Pre-K admissions in the 2026-2027 school year close September 30th or until all spots are filled. Applications for all grades for the 2027-2028 school year will be open on November 1st.

West Dallas Community School Distinctives

Mission-Focused: WDCS exists to provide access to excellent Christian education to under-resourced families in our community. Seventy percent of our seats are reserved for students from low-income families who qualify for the Federal Free or Reduced Lunch program.

Classical Education: WDCS maintains a high standard of academic excellence, which we believe all of our students can achieve. The education we offer intends to build the habits of attention and perseverance and form the hearts, minds, and souls of our students.

To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account. Then log in to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

After you submit the application, you will be notified of testing and/or observation dates and times.

Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 1 – Observation for school readiness
Grades 2–8 – Testing by appointment on an individual basis

Applicants must be at least four years old by September 1. If your child is not four, your application will not be considered. There are no exceptions.

While your child is completing testing or observation, parents will meet with school administration for a family interview.

Admissions FAQs

Tuition is based on family’s income and unique financial situation. We offer a tuition discount for siblings. The majority of school’s operating costs are subsidized by generous donors. Read more on the tuition model page of our website.

We ask every family to commit to the parent/school partnership, attend parent conferences and parent enrichment meetings, and support your child at home by establishing healthy routines.
